It’s official, the Cerdon College “All Stars” are still the top Schoolaerobics team in NSW and the third team nationally!
The National Championships were held at the Dallas Brooks Centre in Melbourne on Sunday 24th August. The top two teams from each State competed for the coveted prize of being crowned the best in the nation and with only 5 points separating 1st and 3rd place, the competition was fierce. In true Cerdon style the girls put in maximum effort and produced an excellent performance, bringing home Bronze for NSW.
Special thanks must go to their coach, ex-student Samantha Lewis who has dedicated her time and energy in coaching two aerobics teams since the start of the year. In addition the girls’ success is also attributed to the tireless parental support throughout the year ensuring all girls arrived to early morning training, amending leotards and a myriad of other jobs.
Finally, thank you to the Cerdon Executive, SRC and community who assisted in our fundraising efforts. Behind the scenes, I owe much gratitude to Ms Matheson who worked alongside me, organising every minute detail of this process from fundraising, cooking meals for the girls, to fixing hair, makeup and advising on choreography.
The girls’ journey has been an amazing one this year and we look forward to great things in aerobics next year!
